Is it wrong to not want my boyfriend to buy his sons Mom a baby gift which she just had with another guy?

My work friends did not buy me a baby gift on my last day of work, i have worked with them for 5 years and have bought things for most of them previously when they have had babies or got married, normally a collection is made for the person and the money goes towards a gift, but no one bothered with me, they all like me so why did they not do anything for me? You could imagine how i was feeling when it came to the end of the day and there was no surprise, i've had the baby since and still have not heard from the majority of them, are people really this disgustingly selfish. I feel so angry, should i say something to them and if so what?

I ordered a baby gift online for an estranged friend. We had a blow up over something so dumb a year and a half ago. I have spoke to her briefly since, but we are not friends anymore. Her husband was deployed with my husband they are friends but recently got sent home early because she is about to have the baby. Anyways, when I had my second daughter, she threw a baby shower for me, so even though we aren't friends anymore I wanted to send a little gift. I just ordered a little layette from Walmart... nothing big. Do you think it was a nice gesture or was it wrong to do?The reason I didn't give it to her myself is because we aren't on speaking terms.
